Research topics include: living shorelines, beach and tidal inlet dynamics, barrier island response to extreme events, groundwater impacts to coastal lagoons, and infrastructure resilience. MASGC Living Shorelines Workshop Announcement

 

The Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium is sponsoring a day-long living shorelines workshop at the Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Moss Point, MS on Thursday, May 29, 2014. More information can be found here or by clicking on the image at right. I will be providing a short presentation on the current status of research and professional practice related to the engineering design of living shorelines in the morning and will help facilitate discussions in the afternoon.

 

Registration for the workshop has exceeded our expectation and there is currently a wait list to attend. However, please sign up if you are interested as many early registrants may withdraw due to changing schedules. Follow the links provided to sign up for the wait list.
